Russia’s Putin congratulates Azerbaijan, points to growing voice in global affairs
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Azerbaijan on the occasion of its Independence Day, emphasising Azerbaijan’s enhanced international standing and its growing role in shaping regional and global cooperation.
In his message addressed to President Ilham Aliyev, Putin extended warm greetings on the national holiday and noted Azerbaijan’s significant progress in economic and social development, as well as its strengthened position on the global stage.
“Azerbaijan has achieved impressive successes in the economic and social spheres and has earned well-deserved authority on the international stage,” the Russian leader stated.
He underlined the importance of the friendly and allied relations between Moscow and Baku, expressing confidence that both sides will continue to expand their cooperation across various fields.
“I am confident that through joint efforts, we will be able to ensure the further development of fruitful bilateral cooperation across various areas, as well as partnership interaction in regional and international affairs,” Putin said, adding that this serves the interests of both nations and contributes to stability in the South Caucasus and the Caspian region.
The Russian president also conveyed personal wishes to Ilham Aliyev, wishing him health and success, and extended greetings of well-being and prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan.
