Russia supports creation of military repair base in Kyrgyzstan
In Kyrgyzstan, on the territory of military unit 20636, with the support of Russia, a base for the repair of military equipment was opened, Gazeta.Ru reports, citing the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Defense.
The ceremony was attended this week by Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev, Minister of Defence Baktybek Bekbolotov and representatives of the defence department of the Russian Federation.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Torobaev "emphasized the importance of opening a base in Kyrgyzstan, further strengthening and developing military and military-technical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia" and promoting security and stability.
The press service reported that Russia provided assistance in the form of the supply, installation and equipment of a tent-mobile shelter - a facility for the maintenance and repair of weapons and military equipment with auxiliary equipment, fencing, and an early detection video surveillance system. The facility is intended for carrying out works of all types of complex maintenance of military equipment.
