Trump speaks to Ukraine, NATO leaders as Air Force One lands in capital
U.S. President Donald Trump engaged in a “lengthy” conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while returning to Washington, the White House said.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters, “President Trump had an extensive call with President Zelenskyy during the flight back to Washington DC. He is now on the phone with NATO leaders to discuss current security matters.”
According to Dan Scavino, Assistant to the President and White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Force One touched down at Joint Base Andrews earlier today, but the departure from the aircraft was delayed as Trump continued his calls.
