Servicemen destroy hypothetical enemy’s Iskander missile system Azerbaijani-Turkish exercises in full swing / PHOTO
The commando units of the Azerbaijani and Turkish armed forces have carried out joint operations to liberate positions on the line of contact occupied by the hypothetical enemy and advance troops on the second day of the "Mustafa Kemal Ataturk-2023" joint tactical exercises.
The operations were carried out to use radio interference on the hypothetical enemy's UAVs to prevent it from carrying out a combat mission (reconnaissance), as well as to impede the operation of the air defence systems of a hypothetical enemy to ensure the safety of flights of aircraft and helicopters of the Air Force, according to Azertag.
The fire superiority was maintained. The tactical groups and special forces groups consisting of the Azerbaijani and Turkish military personnel advanced during the exercises.
Moreover, the tasks of assaulting and destroying positions of a hypothetical enemy after opening corridors through mined areas, capturing the front line, destroying “Iskander” and “Tochka-U” tactical missile systems of a hypothetical enemy by using “Bayraktar TB-2”, as well as capturing and destroying of positions of a hypothetical enemy by infantry, landing troops from infantry fighting vehicles were practised during the exercises.
The task of landing an air assault force, consisting of special forces groups from both countries, to attack a hypothetical enemy to capture an official was also completed.
The weapons produced by Azerbaijan and Türkiye were demonstrated as part of joint tactical exercises.
