Azerbaijan, Kenya discuss cooperation in humanitarian demining

Azerbaijan and Kenya have discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in humanitarian demining as part of a meeting between Vugar Suleymanov, chairman of the board of Azerbaijan’s National Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) and a Kenyan delegation led by Charles Lenjo Mwazighe, director of the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) in Nairobi.

ANAMA said the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in mine action, including the exchange of expertise and experience, enhancing training capabilities and introducing modern and innovative demining methods, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The sides also discussed opportunities for further collaboration in the humanitarian demining field.
