Azerbaijan, US discuss strategic partnership charter PHOTO
Azerbaijan and the US have discussed a strategic partnership charter as part of a meeting between Chargé d'Affaires Amy Carlon and Ismayilli District Executive Power Head Nahid Baghirov, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan has said.
The embassy noted that the meeting highlighted the growing US-Azerbaijan partnership and the role of the Charter on Strategic Partnership in providing a framework for closer cooperation, including in economic development, investment and people-to-people ties, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the diplomatic mission, the US-Azerbaijan Charter on Strategic Partnership will provide a framework for expanding cooperation in economic development, investment and humanitarian ties.
"During the meeting, emphasis was also placed on the importance of the Charter on Strategic Partnership, which creates opportunities to further develop the US-Azerbaijan partnership, as well as to expand cooperation in various fields, including economic development, investments, and people-to-people relations," the message states.
The officials also discussed the region's development, economic potential and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
