Spain announces new military aid to Ukraine
Spain will donate armored personnel carriers, anti-aircraft launchers, anti-aircraft missiles and military trucks for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Acting Minister of Defence of Spain Margarita Robles at the Ramstein meeting informed about the state of material supplies with which the country continues to support Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the Spanish Defence Ministry.
In particular, she noted the announced shipment of new armored personnel carriers, inflatable command boats, as well as various other materials, launchers and missiles for air and anti-ship defense, special trucks to operate these systems, and emergency medical vehicles.
In addition, to ensure that the Role 2+ mobile hospital, which Spain transferred to Ukraine in August, continues to function, the minister announced the shipment of a significant number of pallets of surgical and medical equipment.
Robles also emphasized the good progress in the training of Ukrainian personnel on Spanish territory within the framework of the EUMAM mission in Ukraine, coordinated by the training coordination center in Toledo.
Preliminarily, about 4,000 military personnel will undergo training, which is twice the number that was initially announced.
In addition, in response to Ukraine's fresh needs, a military wind tunnel parachuting course, as well as various special courses for the Ukrainian military security forces, will be offered.
