Stoltenberg: NATO not considering Madrid summit deadline for Finland, Sweden's entry

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has said that the North Atlantic Alliance does not consider the summit in Madrid on June 28-30 as a deadline for the reception of Finland and Sweden, which was delayed due to Türkiye's objections.

"We do not consider the Madrid summit a deadline for Sweden and Finland to join," TASS reports, citing Stoltenberg.

As a result, he responded to journalists' questions about whether the North Atlantic Alliance will be able to overcome Türkiye's objections to the admission of these two countries by the time it is held.
