Trump Mobile alters marketing for T1 smartphone, drops "Made in USA" claim
Trump Mobile has quietly revised the branding and technical details of its debut smartphone, the T1, shifting away from claims of U.S. manufacturing and removing key specifications from its website.
Previously promoted with bold “Made in USA” branding, the T1 is now described more vaguely as a product “designed with American values” and “crafted by American hands,” Caliber.Az reports, citing The Verge.
References to the device being manufactured in the U.S. — including a prominent homepage banner — have been removed entirely. The new wording highlights “American pride in design,” but offers no clarity on where the phone is assembled or where its components originate.
The smartphone’s specifications have also undergone significant changes. Earlier materials advertised a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and 12 GB of RAM. The updated listing now shows a smaller 6.25-inch display, and no information is provided about memory or other core hardware.
Additionally, the expected shipping timeline has become more ambiguous. Originally scheduled for a September 2025 release, the website now lists a vague “later this year” timeframe, suggesting possible production delays or supply chain uncertainties.
Trump Mobile had marketed the T1 as a patriotic alternative to leading smartphone brands, appealing to conservative consumers with slogans emphasising American manufacturing and values. The recent changes raise questions about the company's ability to fulfil those promises as it moves toward launch.
