Swedish travelers deeply impressed by reconstruction and restoration works underway in Lachin PHOTO
The group of international travelers from the Swedish "Club100" organization has hailed the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in Lachin as they visited the district.
Azertag’s regional correspondent reports that the group of 30 international travelers from Sweden is led by Bengt Hildebrand, who represents the prestigious club, which brings together travelers of Scandinavian origin.
The travelers eye witnessed the consequences of the Armenian vandalism committed during the 30 years of occupation as well as were informed about the restoration and reconstruction works carried out by Azerbaijan on the liberated territories.
The visitors were also informed that Armenians destroyed all the houses, historical buildings, and monuments in the district. However, following the liberation, large-scale construction work has been launched by the Azerbaijani, and the work continues at a rapid pace today.
This visit once again shows that the interest of international travelers in the destructions in the liberated areas, as well as the reconstruction and restoration works and demining process carried out here, has increased significantly.
Over the past two years, the large delegations of the major international travel networks, such as ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania and the Turkish Travel Club, have visited Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur seventh times.
The trip is of great importance in terms of promoting Azerbaijani liberated territories in the framework of black tourism.
As part of these trips, more than 200 travelers visited Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur regions.
