Tatarstan leader: Allied ties allow Azerbaijan, Russia to move forward
Allied relations between Azerbaijan and Russia allow the two countries to move forward.
The leader of Russia’s Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, made the remarks during the opening ceremony of the event dedicated to the Tatar national holiday Sabantuy, held in Baku and timed to the 100th birthday anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev, Trend reports.
"It is a great honor for us to be in this beautiful city. Today we are not only celebrating Sabantuy, we are paying tribute to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev. It's important for us to show how close we are. We are strategic partners, our states have allied relations. This all allows us to move forward. We are not only friends, but also do great things. I would like to wish our fraternal people prosperity. We see every time the changes that occur in you. And, of course, Baku is the most beautiful city in the world," he said.
Minnikhanov was received by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on June 17. On the same day, the two leaders attended the inauguration of Auto Leasing Azerbaijan LLC in the “Araz Valley Economic Zone” Industrial Park in the liberated Jabrayil district.
Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted the works done in the Industrial Park that occupies an area of 200 hectares.
President Ilham Aliyev and Rais Rustam Minnikhanov cut the ribbon symbolising the opening of Auto Leasing Azerbaijan LLC.
Auto Leasing Azerbaijan LLC, a joint venture of Russia and Azerbaijan, has established a technical service centre on the 3-hectare area of the “Araz Valley Economic Zone” Industrial Park. The centre will serve as a hub for trucks and agricultural machinery.
On June 17, they visited the liberated Zangilan district’s Aghali village.
