Turkish security services foil terrorist attacks on synagogue, church and embassy PHOTO/VIDEO

In a joint operation by the National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) and Turkish police, 32 people suspected of plotting attacks on synagogues and churches, as well as the Iraqi embassy, have been captured. Three suspects from this number have links to ISIS.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the detention on his page on the social network X, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the information, Turkish security services have established that Mijbel al-Shuwayhi under the code name "Abu Yaqin al-Iraqi" and Mohammed Khilaf Ibrahim under the code name "Ebu Leys" were preparing attacks on synagogues and churches, and Iyheb Elani under the code name "Abdullah al-Jumeili" - on the Iraqi Embassy.

The three aforementioned terrorists, along with 29 suspects linked to them, were captured in an operation conducted in the morning hours in 9 provinces with the coordinated work of MİT and the General Directorate of Security.

A large amount of digital materials belonging to the organisation were also seized during the operation.
