25 April 2026 21:37
Iran has refused to accept what it described as “maximalist demands” from the United States during talks in Pakistan, a diplomatic source told Reuters.
According to the source, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi presented Tehran’s “principled positions” during meetings with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior officials.
“Principally, Iranian side will not accept maximalist demands,” the source was quoted as saying.
Following the discussions, Araghchi left Islamabad along with his delegation aboard a military aircraft. No further details of the talks were disclosed.
