U.S. holds Iran reponsible for restoring nuclear deal
The U.S. has held Iran responsible for reaching an agreement on the nuclear deal.
At the briefing, the White House spokesperson Jen Psaki stated that Teheran is the biggest obstacle on the way to achieving the deal, TASS reports.
"We are convinced that Iran must decide whether it is going to continue to insist on extrinsic conditions and whether it wants to make a deal or not. We believe that a deal would be in the interests of all parties. (...) The biggest obstacle to moving forward on the Iran deal is Iran itself," Psaki said.
The White House spokeswoman said that at the moment, the deal is still not guaranteed.
According to Psaki, the U.S. is calling on Iran to decide whether it is interested in quickly restoring the nuclear deal. The diplomat assured that Washington and its partners "are ready for it, and have been for a long time." "Now it's up to Iran," she stressed.
