UK imposes new sanctions on Russia
Britain has introduced new sanctions against Russia, the list includes 45 companies and individuals.
"The UK announces 46 new sanctions targeting individuals and groups supplying and funding Putin’s war machine," Caliber.Az reports, citing the website of the UK Government.
The list includes companies from Belarus, China, Serbia, Turkey, the UAE and Uzbekistan, which the statement said are helping the Russian army.
The new sanctions package includes 31 individuals and entities from Russia that are linked to the development and production of drones and missile components, as well as the import and supply of key electronic components. These include company directors and their immediate family members.
The new sanctions are aimed "at countering Russia's repeated attempts to circumvent and offset the clear impact of UK sanctions on its military operations," the British government said in a statement.
