Ukraine main importer of military equipment from Germany

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have become the main recipient of weapons from Germany in 2023. It accounted for €3.3 billion of the €8.76 billion total value of authorized military exports in the first nine months of 2023.

It is noted that during the same period in 2022, German authorities approved supplies worth €775 million, that is, the amount of exports quadrupled over the year, Reuters reports with reference to the German Economy Ministry.

In total, since the start of Russian war in Ukraine, Germany has provided military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces worth €5.2 billion.
