Russia continues to analyse Trump’s remarks on "secondary sanctions" - Kremlin
The Russian side continues to analyse the recent statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Russia, says Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“Yes, we (in the Kremlin) are continuing to analyse these statements,” he noted, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
According to Peskov, the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, will issue a comment on Trump’s remarks if and when he deems it necessary.
On July 14, during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump announced the introduction of “secondary tariffs of up to 100% on countries that purchase Russian oil if there is no progress in resolving the conflict in Ukraine within 50 days.” At the same time, he announced the delivery of 17 Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine for deployment in Europe, funded by European allies.
