Ukraine strikes key Russian targets in Crimea VIDEO
Ukraine’s armed forces say they have carried out a successful strike against several high-value Russian military sites at the Saky airbase in occupied Crimea.
According to a statement provided by Ukraine’s Naval Forces, the operation targeted a Russian command and control post, storage facilities for Orion attack drones, and multiple air-defence assets, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
The Navy said the strike was conducted jointly with units from Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces.
“Ukrainian Navy units, working in coordination with Special Operations Forces, carried out a successful operation,” the statement read.
“As a result, the command and control centre at the Saky airbase was hit, along with storage sites for Orion attack UAVs and several air-defence systems, including Tor-M2 and Pantsir-S1. A ZU-23-2 installation mounted on a KamAZ vehicle was also struck.”
