Ukraine says Russian sea drone attack near Kinburn Peninsula thwarted

Russian forces attempted to strike the Ukrainian coastline using several unmanned strike boats.

All Russian naval drones were detected in advance and destroyed at sea, far from the shore, Serhii Beskrestnov, also known as “Flash”, an adviser to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence, stated on Telegram.

He said the attack was fully repelled thanks to coordinated efforts by several units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, preventing the drones from reaching the Ukrainian-controlled coastline near the Kinburn Peninsula and Ochakiv.

Beskrestnov also noted that Starlink satellite communication terminals were found installed on the destroyed Russian unmanned boats.

According to him, the accompanying images marked in red indicated the interception point of the sea drones.
