Ukrainian drones again attack Russia's Bashneft oil refinery Located 1,400 km away from frontline
Drones belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces have once again flown over the Bashneft oil refinery in Bashkortostan, Russia.
A “carpet” plan has been introduced at Ufa airport, Caliber.Az reports per UNIAN,
This is the fourth time in a month that drones have attacked Bashkortostan, located 1,400 km from Ukraine. The last attack on the refinery took place on October 11.
As a reminder, on night of September 13 to 14, Ukrainian drones struck the Bashneft-Novoyl refinery in Ufa, one of Russia’s largest oil processing complexes with a capacity of approximately 17 million tons per year (340,000 barrels/day). A drone crashed into the facility, causing a fire.
A day later, on September 15, a coordinated Ukrainian drone assault targeted two adjacent Bashneft refineries in Ufa—Bashneft-Novoyl and Bashneft-UNPZ—located 3 km apart. These facilities process 23.5 million tons of oil annually (470,000 barrels/day). The attack caused explosions and fires, damaging pipelines and refining units.
On September 18, the Ukrainian forces targeted the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat petrochemical plant, Russia’s 10th-largest refinery with a capacity of 10 million tons per year. Drones hit the ELOU-AVT-4 crude oil processing unit, causing a massive explosion and thick black smoke in Salavat, approximately 1,300 km from Ukraine.
A second strike on the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat plant occurred on September 24, 2025, targeting the CDU-6 crude distillation unit, which accounts for 60% of the facility’s output (approximately 6 million tons/year).
