TASS: Witkoff and Kushner to visit Moscow, Kyiv on September 5–6
US presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to travel to Moscow first and then Kyiv on September 5–6, TASS reported, citing a source.
“They expect to arrive in Moscow, then in Kyiv, on 5–6 September,” the agency’s source said.
The reported itinerary comes after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his team was preparing for meetings with the US presidential envoys and that tentative dates had already been agreed.
“I just held a meeting with the team engaged in negotiations with the envoys of the U.S. President. We are in communication with them virtually 24/7 and are now preparing for meetings. Tentative dates have been set,” Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
Zelenskyy also said the US envoys had confirmed plans to hold meetings in both Moscow and Kyiv.
“We expect to see the U.S. President’s envoys here in Kyiv. They confirmed they will have a meeting in Moscow and another one in Kyiv. We expect the latter to take place in the coming days. This is very important. It is important that America remain actively engaged. We are ready to meet with them in Ukraine – properly and substantively,” Zelenskyy said.
