Ukrainian MPs accuse each other of working for Russia in heated parliament clash
In Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada, MPs Oleksiy Honcharenko and Mykola Kniazhytskyi publicly accused each other of collaborating with Russia during a volatile session of the European Solidarity faction.
The confrontation, which included personal insults and threats, was partially captured in a livestream on Honcharenko’s YouTube channel, per Caliber.Az.
During the argument, Kniazhytskyi accused Honcharenko of “undermining mobilization” while his son serves on the front lines, claiming that his colleague was acting in Russia’s interests. Honcharenko fired back with similar allegations, calling Kniazhytskyi a “cannibal” and likening him to President Zelenskyy and others he criticized. Party co-chair Artur Herasymov intervened to restore order.
The clash comes amid growing political tension, as Honcharenko has previously called on President Zelenskyy to resign following a U.S. Congress report on corruption, alleging that the president is deliberately delaying peace negotiations to leverage potential changes in U.S. politics after congressional elections.
