The US Administration has decided to suspend its assistance program to Georgia in response to the country's adoption of a controversial foreign agent law.
“On May 23, following the Georgian government's anti-democratic actions, I announced a comprehensive review of bilateral cooperation between the US and Georgia. As a result of this review, the US is suspending more than $95 million in assistance that directly supports the Georgian government,” stated US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a written statement, as reported by Caliber.Az, citing foreign media.
