Uzbekistan, China resume air traffic after three-year standstill
10 January 2023 11:09
Uzbekistan and China resumed regular flights between the two countries on January 10, following a three-year hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic, TASS reports, citing Uzbekistan Airways.
“On January 10, at 2:10 am local time, the first regular passenger flight of Uzbekistan’s air carrier took off on the Tashkent-Beijing-Tashkent route after a three-year break caused by the pandemic,” a source in the airline said.
Until the end of January, the route will operate one flight a week on Tuesdays.
From February, the Uzbek planes will double the number of flights per week.
