Putin’s latest strike on Kyiv seen as test of US resolve, says Kellogg’s daughter
Meaghan Mobbs, daughter of U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, described Russia’s recent large-scale assault on Ukrainian regions as a clear sign that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is “testing America’s resolve and strength.”
She shared her remarks on the social media platform X, as reported by Caliber.Az.
Kyiv is under massive drone attack. Make no mistake, this is Putin’s response to President Trump’s deadline. He is testing American resolve and strength. We must not be found wanting.

In the early hours of July 31, Kyiv came under a coordinated barrage of missiles and Iranian-made kamikaze drones. The most severe damage was inflicted on the Svyatoshinsky and Solomensky districts, with additional strikes hitting the Goloseevsky and Shevchenko areas.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Russia launched over 300 drones and at least eight missiles in the overnight attack, which primarily targeted Kyiv. Emergency responders, including firefighters, medical personnel, and rescue teams, have been working tirelessly since the strikes began after nightfall.
Besides Kyiv, the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Sumy, and Mykolaiv were also affected by the attacks. However, Kyiv suffered the heaviest damage, with an entire stairwell of a high-rise apartment building in one residential neighbourhood destroyed.
Authorities have confirmed six deaths so far, including a six-year-old boy and his mother. Dozens of others were injured and are receiving medical treatment.
