Turkish president vows to build stronger, terror-free Türkiye

28 July 2025 21:12

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to building a stronger, more democratic Türkiye, free from terrorism and internal division.

His remarks came following a cabinet meeting in Ankara, where national security and regional stability were high on the agenda, Caliber.Az reports perTurkish media.

“The path we have embarked upon will lead us to a strong Türkiye with a strong democracy and economy,” Erdoğan declared, assuring citizens that current policies are designed to safeguard national unity and advance the country's long-term prosperity.

He emphasized that the fight against terrorism is not solely the responsibility of the People’s Alliance, but a national endeavor involving the government, the state, and the Turkish people.

Highlighting regional dynamics, Erdoğan noted that Türkiye is actively working to resolve issues that threaten internal peace and create opportunities for destabilizing actors. “We are solving problems that disturb internal peace, undermine our unity, and create fertile ground for malicious forces,” he stated.

In a pointed message to the opposition, Erdoğan described the ongoing anti-terror campaign as a "unique opportunity" for the main opposition party to distance itself from past controversies and contribute constructively to national solidarity. “Türkiye's struggle for liberation from the shackles of terror must not fall victim to fruitless disputes and various political calculations. Neither the people nor history will forgive this,” he warned.
