Kazakh, Uzbek leaders discuss key developments on global stage
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone call with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during which the two leaders exchanged views on pressing issues on the regional and international agenda.
Mirziyoyev congratulated Tokayev on the successful completion of Kazakhstan’s first elections for deputies of the Kurultai. In turn, Tokayev thanked the Uzbek leader for his support and for sending observers from Uzbekistan.
The two presidents expressed satisfaction with the development of Kazakh-Uzbek relations and discussed further expanding trade and economic cooperation, implementing joint investment projects in transport and logistics, strengthening industrial cooperation, and increasing contacts between the countries’ business communities.
