Official: Iran doubled defence manufacturing pace over past year

Iran's defence industrial complex doubled its output of military hardware and weaponry over the past year, according to a senior military official.

General Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence of the Islamic Republic, disclosed the figures during a state address cited by the Mehr news agency.

"The pace of defence arms production in the country over the past year, from July 2025 to July 2026, was twice the production rate of weapons and military equipment observed prior to that period," Talaei-Nik stated.
