Vessel traffic in Bosphorus restored

Vessel traffic has been restored in the Bosphorus.

According to NTV, a report by the General Directorate of Coastal Security recorded the following: "Our tugs Spas-5 and Spas-6 and the boat KEGM-5 for the 107-metre dry cargo vessel BRIZA anchored in Candilli due to a machine failure during a voyage from Istanbul.

Through the efforts of the coastal security team consisting of tugboats Spas-5 and Spas-6 and the KEGM-5 boat, the 107-metre cargo ship was anchored at the anchorage at Ahirkapı, coordinated by the Istanbul Vessel Traffic Control Centre and accompanied by a pilot."

A statement posted on the website of the General Directorate of Coastal Security noted that vessel traffic in the Bosphorus resumed at 08.30.
