Iran threatens response that would send entire region back to Stone Age

An Iranian parliamentary spokesman has warned that any attempt to force Iran into submission through military action would fail, saying Tehran would respond with overwhelming force if attacked.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee, dismissed the idea that Iran could be defeated through what he described as a "swift and decisive blow," calling such expectations an illusion, Caliber.Az reports.

According to Rezaei, any attack on Iran would trigger a response that would "send the entire region and its infrastructure back to the Stone Age."

He also urged Iran's adversaries to avoid further escalation.

Rezaei warned Tehran's opponents "not to do anything foolish," adding that it was in their own interest to refrain from actions that could intensify tensions in the region.
