Young Spanish volunteer dies in Ukraine during battles

A Spanish citizen has died in the course of military operations in Ukraine.

A 22-year-old youngster from Spain’s Mallorca Island was voluntarily planning to fight on the side of Ukraine’s Armed Forces but was killed on June 18 in hostilities against Russian forces, Europa Press reports, citing the Spanish Foreign Ministry.

The Spanish Embassy in Ukraine was informed about the death of the Spaniard, and the diplomatic mission is in regular contact with the family of the deceased and is working to resolve the issue of sending the body home.
