Zelenskyy appoints Azerbaijani official to helm Kyiv’s military command

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a decree appointing Azerbaijani national Teymur Tkachenko (Mammadov) Firudin as the head of Kyiv's military administration.

Prior to this appointment, Teymur Tkachenko served as Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine and Deputy Minister for Territorial and Regional Development of Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports.

Note that, Teymur Tkachenko is the son of the late Firudin Mammadov, a prominent member of the Congress of Azerbaijanis in Ukraine, a representative of the Azerbaijani Council of Elders in Ukraine, and a native of Shamkir District in Azerbaijan.
