Zelenskyy recommends Vasyl Malyuk for Ukraine’s security chief
06 February 2023 21:00
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted a resolution to the parliament to approve Vasyl Malyuk as head of Ukraine’s Security Service.
The proposed nominee should now be considered by Rada's committee for national security, defence and intelligence, TASS reports, citing the parliament’s website.
Zelenskyy appointed Malyuk as acting head of Ukraine’s Security Service on July 18. The previous chairman of the security service, Ivan Bakanov, was suspended for numerous cases of treason by the agency's employees.
