Man detained near White House after demanding meeting with Trump

A man was detained near the White House after demanding a meeting with US President Donald Trump, The Sun reports.

According to the newspaper, on September 19, law enforcement officers and military personnel cordoned off an intersection near Lafayette Square after a vehicle drove onto the sidewalk near a security barrier.

Secret Service officers arrested the man following a report of a security breach. After being detained, the driver of the vehicle demanded to speak with the president.
