Equipment fault prompts output cut at Hungary’s Paks nuclear plant

The power output of Unit 2 at Hungary’s Paks Nuclear Power Plant has been reduced by 150 MW due to a malfunction in mechanical equipment, according to the plant’s official website.
The reduction occurred on the morning of September 20. With the unit’s normal output at around 2,000 MW, its capacity was lowered by 150 MW.
Specialists are working to fix the malfunction.
