Uzbekistan introduces tuition benefits for children of teachers
Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, Uzbekistan will introduce tuition benefits for children of teachers enrolled in universities.
A 30% discount will apply to full-time undergraduate students at state higher education institutions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Education.
The benefit will not apply to military and paramilitary universities, foreign universities and their branches, non-state universities, programs covered by additional or differentiated contracts, or joint faculties established with foreign partners.
If several children of the same teacher are enrolled in paid programs at state universities, the discount will be applied separately to each student. Applications will be verified through the Digital Government interagency platform and reviewed within two working days.
The discount can be granted once per academic year. If a student’s parent ceases to belong to the category of teachers, the benefit will no longer apply from the following academic year.
