Estonia to increase military assistance to Ukraine
Estonia will continue to support Ukraine, including through additional military assistance.
Estonian Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur made the remarks during a meeting with Ukrainian Ambassador Mariana Betsa, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ukrainian embassy in Estonia.
During the meeting, the ambassador informed the Estonian defence minister about the situation in Ukraine in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine, and also expressed gratitude for the unprecedented military assistance provided by Estonia.
"Minister Hanno Pevkur confirmed that Estonia will continue to support Ukraine, including through additional military assistance," the embassy said.
The sides also discussed further steps of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere, taking into account the ongoing Russian military aggression, as well as issues of assistance to Ukrainian internally displaced persons in Estonia.
As reported, on August 3, Ukraine's Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal held a meeting with Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu, at which the parties discussed strengthening intergovernmental dialogue, support and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
