September 27, 2020: Beginning of Azerbaijan’s glorious victories Garakhanbayli, Horadiz, Gervend, Nuzger, Boyuk Marjanly

The Armenian armed forces, using various weapons, including heavy artillery, fired at the Azerbaijani settlements, as well as the military positions of the Azerbaijani army, from several directions on September 27, 2020 morning. There were losses, wounded among the civilians and military personnel as a result of the enemy’s shelling.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed the people on September 27. 

“We are on the right path. Our cause is right. We will win! Karabakh is ours, Karabakh is Azerbaijan! Martial law was declared in the country on the same day,” the president noted in his address.

In response to another sign of Armenian fascism, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a counter-offensive operation, later called the "Iron Fist", which ended on November 10, 2020 night with Armenia’s unconditional surrender.

The front line of the Armenian troops, which Armenia boastfully called the "impregnable line of Ohanyan" [Armenian Former Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan], was broken through on the very first day of the counter-offensive operation of the Azerbaijani army.

As a result, numerous Armenian soldiers were killed and military equipment was destroyed.

Garakhanbayli, Horadiz and Gervend villages of the Fuzuli district, as well as Nuzger and Boyuk Marjanly villages of the Jabrayil district were liberated from long-term occupation on September 27, 2020.

Moreover, the Murovdag Mountain Range was liberated and taken under the control by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

The glorious path of the Azerbaijani warrior began and culminated in the liberation of the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia.
