Türkiye eliminates PKK intelligence coordinator in Iraq
REGION 30 November 2022 - 11:38
The Turkish National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) has conducted another successful operation in northern Iraq to neutralise the leaders of the PKK terrorist organisation.
The PKK "intelligence coordinator" Fatma Onur under the call sign "Kinda Marash" has been liquidated in the Sinjar area, TRT Haber reports, citing sources in Turkish security agencies.
It was established that Fatma Onur was sent to Sinjar as part of a secret mission from Kandil.
Fatma Onur, who joined the terrorist organisation from England in the 1990s, served for many years in the armed wing of the organisation. Onur rose to the leadership level in the PKK intelligence structure in 2016.
