Officials from Organization of Turkic States gather in Ankara to boost cultural, tourism Cooperation
The 10th Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Tourism of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is being held today, July 9, in Ankara.
Azerbaijan is represented at the event by Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The session, organised by Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was opened by Turkish Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. In his remarks, Ersoy highlighted Ankara’s rich historical heritage and cultural institutions, announcing that the Turkish capital will be designated the Tourism Capital of the Turkic World for 2026 under the OTS framework.
Heads of delegations from both member and observer countries of the OTS delivered speeches at the event.
OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev emphasised that the Turkic world continues to deepen cooperation not only in politics, economics, education, and law, but also in culture and tourism through the organization.
