COVID-19 situation remains stable in Azerbaijan, says expert

    SOCIETY  26 January 2023 - 15:26

The coronavirus-related (COVID-19) situation remains stable in Azerbaijan as no significant increase in the number of infection cases is currently recorded.

The statement came from Yagut Garayeva, the head of the Strategic Development Department of the Azerbaijani Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), APA reports.

"Regarding the number of deaths, I can say that the current number of infections and deaths are not a correlated process. All deaths are investigated. But that does not mean that the person who died was infected on the same day,” Garayeva said, adding there are people suffering from the disease for a long time and with chronic illnesses.
