Baku court orders pre-trial detention for Russians accused of drug trafficking PHOTO / UPDATED
The Sabail District Court in Baku has ordered pre-trial detention for several Russian citizens accused of involvement in an organised drug trafficking group.
During court sessions held under Judge Ulviyya Shukurova, preventive measures of four-month custody were imposed on eight defendants linked to the case, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The Sabail District Court in Baku has ordered the arrest of four Russian citizens suspected of involvement in the transit of narcotics from Iran, as well as their online distribution and related cybercrimes.
According to a Report news agency correspondent attending the court session, the suspects have been remanded in custody for a period of four months. The hearing was presided over by Judge Ulviyya Shukurova.
The detainees are being brought to court individually, and decisions regarding the preventive measures for an additional four individuals connected to the case are still pending.
