Azerbaijani delegation visits mosque in Berlin to promote religious dialogue
A delegation led by Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan, Ramin Mammadov, has visited the Sehitlik Mosque in Berlin, one of Germany’s most prominent Islamic cultural and religious centers.
The Azerbaijani delegation was briefed on the historical significance and architectural features of the mosque, which was built in the traditional Ottoman style, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The Sehitlik Mosque is widely recognized not only as a place of worship but also as a hub for educational, informational, and cultural engagement within the Muslim community in Germany.
During the visit, Mammadov and his delegation met with the mosque’s leadership. The sides discussed the promotion of interreligious and intercultural dialogue, underlining the shared importance of fostering mutual understanding, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
The meeting also explored potential avenues for future cooperation between Azerbaijani religious institutions and Islamic centers in Europe, with an emphasis on strengthening community ties and promoting inclusive values.
