Azerbaijani sailors among dead in Black Sea vessel attack PHOTO
Two Azerbaijani sailors were killed after a Somali-flagged tugboat came under multiple drone attacks in the Black Sea near the Ukrainian port of Odesa.
The vessel, EDY, owned by Mert Marine Corporation, was initially attacked by a drone on September 9 morning while operating near Odesa port, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The tugboat was carrying a crew of 10 at the time of the incident, including four Azerbaijani citizens, three Turkish nationals, two German nationals and one Ukrainian citizen.

Later that night, as the vessel was sailing toward the Romanian port of Constanța, it came under two further drone attacks.
Two Azerbaijani crew members, Aslan Aliyev and Asim Gasimov, were killed in the attacks.
The other two Azerbaijani sailors were injured and taken to a hospital in Odesa, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.
