Germany warns its citizens of potential terror attack threat in Türkiye

The German embassy in Türkiye warned its citizens about possible terrorist attacks on Turkish soil following a series of Quran-burning protests in Europe.

The move was made following the diplomatic corps of the United States and France, TASS reports.

The German embassy stressed that according to German intelligence officers, the threat of terrorist attacks in Türkiye grew after the incident with the burning of the Quran near the Turkish embassy in Sweden.

The diplomatic mission also advised German citizens to be attentive and vigilant when visiting public places in Türkiye and to avoid crowds of people and places of worship.
