Houthis claim strikes on Saudi airbase and Aramco facilities

Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis attacked a Saudi airbase in Khamis Mushait and Saudi Aramco facilities in the Red Sea city of Yanbu, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced. 

Saudi authorities and Saudi Aramco have not yet confirmed the attacks or reported any possible damage or casualties.

The claim followed an earlier announcement by the Houthi forces that they had shot down a Saudi F-15 fighter jet over Marib province using a locally made surface-to-air missile.

The group also reported that Saudi warplanes had carried out more than 450 airstrikes across Yemen over the past week.
