EC to introduce new package of anti-Russian sanctions February 24

The tenth package of European Union’s sanctions intended to be introduced by February 24 implies restrictions worth ten billion euro, President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen said at the press conference.

"The tenth package [of sanctions] is on its way," von der Leyen noted. It has the volume of ten billion euro. It will be a massive package again ", she said, TASS reports.

The EU will close gaps existing in previous packages in the new sanctions package, the EC President said. New sanctions will be introduced by February 24, the first anniversary of the start of the special military operation in Ukraine.
