Peaceful protests of Azerbaijani eco-activists on Khankendi-Lachin road enter 96th day
The protest on the Khankendi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral resources in the Karabakh Economic Region of Azerbaijan has already lasted 96 days. The eco-activists, as well as during the first days of demonstrations, show high activity. They invariably demand to end the ecological terror in the Azerbaijani territories.
According to Report, the rally, which started on the morning of December 12 last year, continued on the night of March 17. The protesters demonstrate their firm will and persistence.
During the action, the safety rules were observed, and no incidents were recorded during the night.
Eco-activists traditionally started the day by singing the national anthem of Azerbaijan.
The volunteers and NGO representatives participating in the action chanting the following slogans without obstructing the traffic in both directions: "Azerbaijan is the owner of its own subsoil!", "Stop environmental crimes!", "Stop eco-terror!", "Save nature!", "No to ecocide! Yes to monitoring!".
The security of the protesters is ensured at a high level by servicemen of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan and the police involved in the area.
