Collective Security Treaty Organisation to hold several exercises in 2023

The first staff talks on organising and conducting joint exercises with the Collective Security Treaty Organisation’s (CSTO) Troops (Collective Forces for 2023, were held at the CSTO Joint Headquarters from March 28 through March 30, 2023.

The representatives of the corresponding ministries and departments of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, as well as the Secretariat and the CSTO Joint Staff, took part in the talks, the Joint Headquarters told Anadolu.

Several exercises with the CSTO Troops will be held as a "Combat Brotherhood" joint operational-strategic exercise in 2023, which is the highest level of joint training in the format of the Organisation.

All elements of the collective security system will be used in different regions of the CSTO zone of responsibility.

The fundamentals of the ideas for holding joint exercises, the composition of troops involved in the exercises, issues of organising leadership, as well as comprehensive support for joint and special exercises, were considered and discussed during the talks.

Several measures are planned to be taken as part of the Combat Brotherhood-2023 joint operational-strategic exercise.

A joint business game is planned to be held by using the capabilities of the technical means of the CSTO Crisis Response Centre and the command posts of the national agencies of the CSTO member states.
