US general: Ukrainian Armed Forces advancing steadily

US most senior military officer, retiring Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley has said that the Ukrainian military has already passed several defence lines of the Russian armed forces.
“Ukrainian armed forces are achieving partial success and moving forward steadily. I know there are some comments that “the offensive failed”. It didn't fail. Ukraine achieved partial success,” Milley said in an interview with CNN.
He said that there is some time before weather conditions worsen.
Milley added that the Ukrainian military is conducting a counteroffensive quite consistently although it is slower than expected.
“There is steady progress. As I stated several months ago, it will be long, difficult and bloody due to the nature of this fight, the type of the Russians’ defence and the capabilities of the Ukrainians,” he added.
